Ronny Weeks
After graduating in Mathematics at Oxford University, Ronny's professional experience began in Actuarial consultancy which was followed by Operational Research in the steel and food processing industries in the UK. On his return to Brazil, his country of birth, he worked as a management consultant in Price Waterhouse Peat until joining the Chase Manhattan subsidiary Banco Lar Brasileiro where he rose to the position of Associate Director responsible for financial planning and budgeting of the bank and associated companies, and analysis and planning of major investments.
On leaving the bank in 1985 Ronny set up SIGMA, specialised in operational and financial modelling and planning systems. As Managing Partner, Ronny has been responsible for a number of major consultancy projects, including privatisations and mergers and acquisitions, and the development of a corporate simulation package and its implementation in a variety of industries such as manufacturing, petroleum refining and distribution, and railways. In 1999, SIGMA became the Brazilian representative of ComrecoRail (later Vossloh Information Technologies York), rail operations simulation and planning consultancy and system developer.
Ronny brings to ART not only a financially oriented simulation and planning experience but also the broader analytical problem-solving approach of Operational Research.
